The Pro-Eagler

*For this section in my Bioneers class we wanted to re-create something and make it better. That something could mean anything from improved house roofs to better car engines, and from new fishing nets to better scuba diving equipment. When we were brain storming on better designs and newer re-creations using Animal Adaptations as our examples. An Animal Adaptation is a form or structure modified to fit in a changed environment. For example, my Animal Adaptation is a bald eagles wingspan. I wanted to change something netter for everybody, and that is new airplane propellers. Below will be showing a collage of an "eagle" and sketches of the new airplane propeller I redesigned.

               DS, (November 22, 2013). The Pro-Eagler

The two images above are my creations of an eagle, and the new design of a propeller that I took from an eagle. When creating the collage I kept in mind a design and an actual look of an eagle. On the sketches below the collage, I drew out the comparison of an eagles wingspan, and a propellers length. I drew out how thin an actual eagles wings are, and I drew how thin I wanted my propellers. Then I sketched out how it would work without being fueld by an engine but by a motor. I also drew the propeller in a way that it's so long that when the motor stops the propeller adjusts it's self as if it were wings (straight) and it lets the airplane glide to the ground safely as if it were an eagle.
