​Believe Nothing is True, Revolution Camera

For my first Action 1 Project in my Light and Sound class we created pinhole cameras, and created our own pictures. In our unit of light we learned that a camera is just like the human eye. The lens is our eye lids and and everything we see is sent through the octave nerve to the brain and or the film. The focus of our eye is triggered by how much light we see and don't see. When we see less light our pupils dilate and try to get as much light as possible. But when we see a ton of light our pupils become real small. I am most proud of my project because I had the chance to create my own camera, and actually take a picture with it too.

My device captures light by the sun shining through the little lens and whatever is under the camera will capture the picture. It also demonstrates the key science principles by showing that the color spectrum from the sun rays can shine into my lens and then make the picture appear onto the photo paper. One piece of information that helped me inform my project is when we had a FE and Derek Weber said "cameras come in all different shapes and sizes, but will always produce a picture." ​Most cameras have an adjustment on shutter speed nowadays, but my shutter speed varies. It can be depended on however long my image takes in the sunlight. Also if I can do anything differently in this project I will somehow use a thinner more colorful lens and see if my picture comes out to be different. 

The Key to Success

The Key to Success

This will be the first action project of the new course I am taking this semester. The Action Project is an Independent Study of our own choosing. We are creating a goal and or question that we want answered by a professional or someone we know that has the answer to this goal or question.
I am most proud about my Independent Study because it's something that I wanted to always know about, it's something that I believe can come true, and it's something that I normaly think of everyday. Before this Action 1 we also learned and studied on how the French Revolution made an impact on a lot of people and how the French Revolution came about.

      My Goal

How do you become successful in a time like this? This is the question I have for my Independent Study that I will be working on to find the answer to also any other question that follows up behind it. For me to achieve this goal and or answer this question I will like to learn and observe with a multi-billionaire company called Amway. Learning and observing a business like this seems right for me because I know one of the I.B.O's (Independent Business Owner)  that works with the company. Being an intern with the company is not availabale for anybody under the age of 18 so if I can ask the I.B.O questions on how he became successful, and how he chose the right decions to make with the company I would be set and ready. Observing a professional and a business savvy person such as him will be one of the best things for me to be prepared to achieve my goal.


  Reason Why

I'm willing to observe a business owner closely because for my first two years of High School I had an internship. I worked with a shipping company called Expeditors, and there were many people who took care of their own business and gave me tips and notes on how to become successful in a business. The observation and or indepednet study will take one months and during that one month the things I would see and learn is how the I.B.O does and say during online confrences and phone calls for more sales, will prepare me for real world experiences and how to manage a self-owned business. A belief I have is that you mean nothing to the world unless you make a name for yourself. This belief is similar to the French Revolution in a way that, when King Louis came into power he did things wrongfully unto people and that's what made a name for him, because people knew who he was. If I can become successful I would start up a business and let people work for me and create deals and sales and have a name for myself.


   How

An obstacle that might get in my way is that I may not be able to work with the I.B.O or even observe what he does on the regualr bases. It's almost related to how the French Monarchy refused to make any changes that would help the third estate (the poor and or lower class). Later on in time, there were a lot of riots in Paris because some people couldn't even eat because King Louis was so hell-bent on not even trying to help the third estate.


 Accountability

I will be starting the observations in the comfort of my own home, it doesn't take much to make sales online. I will attend the few meetings my I.B.O Marques Dukes goes on to in the Village of Rosemont. The meetings are usually at various places because there's more of an "independent" business thing going on. I will observe and attend every Friday at 3:30 p.m, Saturday @ 10 a.m, and Sundays @10 a.m. If this is possible I can be able to take this business skill tactics and create my own business. If I can create something as great when I'm successful I will invest in building a few homeless shelters in some of the most poverty stricken areas across America.
